Hey Everyone!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We at the Luckett household are looking forward to a great 2009 and we hope you are too.

Since September 26th, the last update, Daniel has been improving by leaps and bounds in his rehabilitation, the men he was assigned with returned home in time for Thanksgiving, and he has been on several trips with the wounded warrior program.

He is running on an outside track - 2 miles now!

David Feherty sponsored a pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota that was a huge success.

Daniel went to Ft. Campbell twice to welcome home the men he had been serving with in Iraq. Everyone was amazed to see him walk in. He spent Thanksgiving there and fried a turkey for the gathering in keeping with a tradition at the Luckett's.
Another trip out west, this time with Jeff to snow ski! He and Jeff were on the black ski slopes on the first day.

Christmas and New Year's were spent celebrating with family and friends in Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida. Daniel took Matt on his first deer hunting camping trip with friends in the severe cold just before Christmas.

It has been an eventful year and I cannot begin to organize my thoughts about it into words that would communicate clearly all the emotions we have been through. I will say that our faith in God's loving hand has sustained us. His love and care have been evident through all the circumstances we found ourselves in, through the people we have encountered, and the opportunities that have come Daniel's way.

Hi Daniel..
It's Joey Abercrombie's Mom. I would like to say how grateful our family is that you are healing and doing well. If you get a second or two, please email me if you can at
RobNPeggyAttaway@yahoo.com.
I would like to talk to you about doing a photo or two. I have retired from nursing and gone back to commercial photography school and have gotten quite involved in military photography. God Bless You and Thank You for Your Service~
