New York! New York!

Daniel left on a bus July 10th bound for New York to participate in an Adaptive Water Sports weekend with the Wounded Warrior Project. He and 36 other soldiers are going deep sea fishing, skiing, and scuba diving. Stopping for lunch at a well known deli he was interviewed by Rick Malwitz who writes for, My Central Jersey. You can catch his latest article about the trip and read a feature about Daniel on Sunday. The link to the introductory article which includes a quote from Daniel is: www.mycentraljersey.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/200807101611/NEWS/80710037 . Daniel continues to receive cards, notes, and letters from so many of you. Thanks so much for your encouragement.

Recent visitors include Mama and Papa from Mississippi. They enjoyed eating out in Silver Spring with Dan and me. They were amazed at the progress he is making and the facility he uses for rehab.

Tom Case visited at McGinty's with Daniel while in Washington, DC on business. They spent time catching up as high school was sooo long ago! NOT!

Also, two girls from Auburn picked Daniel up for dinner on Thursday at the request of an older brother, a captain serving in Iraq.

Having such a great support network is working wonders for Daniel
