Correction: Daniel was scheduled to fly to Germany, but his doctors opted to keep him in Baghdad for an additional surgery. His Mom said that they removed shrapnel from his right leg and Daniel is recovering at this time.

The prognosis on his right foot looks better and God willing he will be able to keep it! At this time his family is waiting on the doctors to decide when the best time to move him will be.

On a positive note he hasn't lost his sense of humor and is staying positive about the situation. He even joked about the possibility of finding a nice nurse at Walter Reed.

If anyone has any additional information, please post.

Please keep Daniel and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Daniel,

While we haven't talked much since high school, you left more than a significant impression on my life. Know that my thoughts are with you and that I think about you and every soldier each day. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery. Thanks for all that you and your fellow soldiers do. HOORAH!
